Post World War II, Colonel Scott started a garden: A simple process of therapeutic refuge after serving directly under General Patton through some of the darkest days in history. His service would force him to tour the World and would grant him a personal Invitation to the White House, was concluded by seeking refuge in a Greenhouse where he planted seeds. His seeds geminated into plants. His plants grew into a garden. And the garden would branch into the premier Retail Nursery, Garden Center and Wedding Venue just outside Nashville, Tennessee.

Bob Scott, with wife Sandra, continue the legacy of his father at Long Hollow Gardens with the mission of nurturing individual residential landscapes by offering the best plants, big trees, phenomenal customer service, and a unique shopping environment. Bob, “The Tree Man” is a respected Horticulturist and Veteran with a niche for home grown trees that have become a staple item at Long Hollow Gardens. Sandra is a well rounded perfectionist whose standards for quality are second-to-none. Both are University of Tennessee alum.

In the continuing of the family business into the third generation, son Hartley Scott grew up in the business and really never left. A top graduate in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, Hartley spent time with a world renowned design group before coming home to continue the legacy on the family farm. He is joined by wife Amy, a Master Gardener and Wedding and Event Specialist. Amy is a graduate of Belmont University.
